The Bands of Claudia Taylor Johnson Foundation The Bands of Claudia Taylor Johnson Foundation provides financial support to help all children benefit from the comprehensive music education provided by the award-winning Claudia Taylor Johnson High School, Tejeda Middle School, and “Tex” Hill Middle School Bands.
We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization seeking to provide opportunities for our students to have an enriched musical education and opportunities beyond what the local school budget supplies.
The Foundation aims to allow every child to participate in these exemplary fine arts programs that promote leadership, camaraderie, integrity, commitment, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. With your involvement and financial support, we can make a difference in the lives of our next generation.
Your donation will strengthen our program by providing:
Instruments and instrumental repairs
Specialty technical instructors for our performing ensembles
Private Lessons to facilitate students artistic growth
Competition fees, and travel costs
Scholarships for our deserving band students
About the Foundation
The Foundation invites prospective, current, and alumni families, as well as the surrounding communities, of the CTJ band “cluster” to help grow and sustain all three excellent band programs. The cluster has a reputation for superior musical performance and also developing great citizens. The Foundation provides support to continue this tradition of excellence.
The Foundation also encourages Tejeda and “Tex” Hill Middle School families to interact and learn what to expect from the rigors of a nationally ranked marching arts program like the CTJ Band. With the help of alumni and current band families, incoming parents can learn what to expect when they join the CTJ family, including information about volunteer opportunities and how to start fundraising early.
